I am so excited to join the Lower School family!
4th and 5th grade students have spent the past 4+ weeks playing songs and games that will be used to introduce musical concepts. Already we have explored our different voices, tempo, and dynamics (loud/soft and crescendo). Soon, we will begin to learn Solfege (the song "do, re mi" in The Sound of Music outlines the Major scale using Solfege) and the Kodaly system of rhythmic syllables.
Please, ask your child to show you the songs and games we learn in class. The more we play, the more we learn!
