Debate

Debate is a co-curricular activity in the fall semester. As a KSHSAA activity, students can letter in debate and can compete for a KSHSAA state championship. In class, students learn and practice debating and earn elective credits toward graduation.

Historical Accomplishments:

• State Champions-3-2-1A Four-Speaker (2008, 2005)
• State Runner-up-3-2-1A Four-Speaker (2003, 2007); 4A (2009); 3-2-1A Two-Speaker (2011)
  
• Regional Champions-3-2-1A Four-Speaker (2003, 2006-08, 2010-11); 4A (2008-09)
  

2008-09, became the first year for the Debate team to compete in division 4A. Although the team was from the smallest school in this division, they still returned from the State meet with a 2nd place trophy.
