Football is offered in the Upper and Middle School. Football is a game that requires respect for your teammates, strategic planning, and great physical endurance.
The Independent Football Program strives to promote the vision of what is possible when positive attitudes, behaviors, and extreme confidence come together to create a unified team.

Coaching Staff:
Jarrod Hibler- US Head Football Coach, US Head Wrestling Coach, 6th grade Math Teacher
Coach Hibler was the Defensive Coordinator at Chanute High School, Head Football Coach at Eureka, and came to us after leaving Maize High School as their Offensive Coordinator and Strength Coordinator. In High School, Coach Hibler played for Halstead where he was an All-State player for two years. He continued playing football at Garden City Community College, where his participation on their football team helped them become the Conference Champions and a National Runner-Up team. Coach Hibler finished his college career at Washburn University.
Jeff Boone- MS Football Coach
Jeff Boone, in his first year at The Independent School, is in his sixth year of coaching football overall. Jeff last coached at Wichita Collegiate School and was an assistant on the staff of the 2009 3A State Championship team. Instead of coaching last fall, he worked in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference as the Online Communications Director. His primary job is as president of NorthStar Comfort Services, Inc., a local, family-owned insulation and window tinting company. Apart from football, insulation and his wife and two kids, Jeff can be found teaching Sport Finance at Wichita State University and as the ‘Voice of the Falcons’ for Friends University’s online football and basketball broadcasts.
