olleyball is offered in the Middle and Upper School.

The Panthers won the conference championship in 2006 and continue maintaining successful seasons.  Many players have experienced success over the years with numerous All-Conference selections and two college signees.


Coaching Staff:

Brandon Watkins- Head Upper School Volleyball Coach, Basketball and Track Coach, Technology Director, MS and US Technology Teacher

Coach Watkins was an assistant volleyball coach for TIS in 2010 and has taken on the head coaching responsibilities beginning in 2011.  In high school, Coach Watkins was a three sport athlete, receiving all-state honors in both basketball and track. In college, Coach Watkins played basketball, baseball and track at Mcpherson College and Ottawa University. His volleyball coaching experience prior to coming to TIS was in club volleyball programs, as well as playing competitive club and beach volleyball.   Coach Watkins has also coached Basketball, Baseball and Track at many different levels over the past 15 years. 

Keli Gunn- MS Coach, US Academic Counselor

Coach Gunn played volleyball in elementary school and through high school.  During high school, she played on the varsity team for all four years.  Coach Gunn's team was ranked the #1 1-A team in Texas for multiple years, and she was All District, in high school.

2009-10 Highlights:

2009 Upper School: The Varsity Volleyball team finished the season with a 21-15 record. The team won the Chaparral Tournament and finished in the top 4 in the CPL. The team advanced to the Regional Semi-finals. The JV Volleyball team finished the season on a high note winning several of their last matches.

2010 Middle School: The 8th grade volleyball team finished 2nd in league play and runner-up at the CPMSL league tournament.
