Art

The Lower School students attend a scheduled art class once a week with Katie Idbeis, the Lower School art teacher. Mrs. Idbeis incorporates all kinds of instruction utilizing a variety of media and artistic techniques.

In the Middle School, students receive art instruction from Marianne Burch, the Middle School art teacher. Students are allowed to select various art electives such as glass fusing.

In the Upper School, students are offered electives in art taught by Roger Dale. Mr. Dale offers a visual arts class, glass art, mixed media, and pottery classes.

With independent style and creative flair, art is enjoyed throughout the day by Independent School students. Over the years students’ works have been recognized as National Scholastic Art Award Winners.
