Sixth grader D’Miyah had quite the week in New York, getting an up-close experience at the US Open and even finding herself in front of the cameras along the way!

During her time at the tournament, D’Miyah was interviewed by ESPN, and her experience also caught the attention of Wichita news stations KWCH and KSN. She had the opportunity to spend time on the court, meet instructors, and be part of an experience most young tennis players only get to watch from home.

And while a trip to the US Open makes for a pretty exciting reason to miss a few days of school, D’Miyah came back ready to get to work. With help from Mrs. Todd, she caught up on the assignments she missed and got everything turned in.

We love seeing our Panthers pursue the things they care about beyond the classroom and bring those experiences right back with them. Congratulations, D’Miyah. What a week! 🎾💙
