Job Description
The Independent School seeks a knowledgeable and engaging AP Psychology instructor to teach one section at the Upper School level. The ideal candidate is committed to guiding students through advanced content while preparing them for success on the AP exam.
Responsibilities:
- Teach AP Psychology in alignment with College Board standards
- Encourage critical thinking and analysis of psychological theories and concepts
- Provide regular assessments and exam preparation
- Maintain consistent communication with students and families
- Support academic and emotional development of Upper School students
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions as neededUtilize Schoology and PowerSchool to deliver instruction and maintain student records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field (Required)
- Experience teaching AP Psychology or advanced high school Psychology preferred
- Understanding of adolescent learning and cognitive development
- Strong communication, planning, and classroom management skills

The Independent School is seeking a passionate and creative music educator to teach general music and lead choral programs in both Middle and Upper School divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver music instruction for grades 5–12
- Direct school choirs and organize performances throughout the year
- Collaborate with arts faculty to produce interdisciplinary projects
- Provide students with opportunities to explore various musical genres and techniques
- Communicate regularly with families and participate in school community life
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (required)
- Choral conducting experience strongly preferred

Early Childhood Educators

Co-Lead Teacher
The Independent Early Learning Center in Wichita, KS is a high-quality early childhood program that supports learning through play, developmentally appropriate practice, and loving environments. Staff will enjoy working with children ages 6 weeks to Preschool in a fun, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities :
- Actively monitor children and ensure the safety of each child in all areas (classroom, playground, and common areas).
- Set up/break down of learning activities, potty training/diaper changing, meal times, and basic care.
- Implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Document daily activities and observations of children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development completing all child care licensing regulations for KDHE
- Any other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within first 90 days.
- Must meet (or be able to meet within 30 days of hire) KDHE specific requirements for Health Assessment, TB test, and Health and Safety Training.
- The ability to be courteous, professional, and confidential where appropriate.
- Pass pre-employment screening and KDHE required background check.
- Able to speak, read, and write English
- Possess a love of children and motivation to make a difference in their lives.
Required Physical Qualifications
- Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency.
- Lift a minimum of 30 pounds,
- Be able to work indoors & outdoors during a variety of climates.
- Be able to physically bend and sit on the floor, and move quickly to ensure children's safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year experience in a licensed facility teaching young children.
- Degree in Early Childhood or related degree preferred
