Leadership, Growing Up and The Amazing Generation

Our 4th grade leadership class has begun a nine-week book study of The Amazing Generation by Jonathan Haidt, the student version of The Anxious Generation.

Throughout the study, students will have opportunities to think, talk and ask questions about growing up in today’s world while continuing to develop the confidence, self-awareness and decision-making skills that are part of leadership at TIS.

The timing also creates a meaningful connection for our parent community. TIS parents across all divisions are invited to join us on Wednesday, October 21, from 6:45–7:45 PM in the Middle School Forum/Library for a conversation centered on The Anxious Generation and the challenges families are navigating as children grow up in an increasingly digital world.

The evening will offer parents a chance to come together, share perspective, and talk about how we can support children and families in a rapidly changing digital world.

Extended Panther Care will be available at no additional cost during the program. Families who need care past the normal 6:00 PM closing time should complete the Extended Panther Care Sign-Up so appropriate staffing can be planned.
