FERPA Request to Inspect and Review Student Education Records

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) gives parents and eligible students the right to inspect and review education records maintained by the school.

The Independent School will respond to a completed request within a reasonable period of time, but no later than 45 calendar days after the request is received. The school may contact you to verify your identity, clarify the records requested, or arrange access.

This form is for access to records by a parent, legal guardian, or eligible student. To authorize The Independent School to release records to another school, organization, or individual, please complete the school’s Authorization for Release of Student Records form.
